Manufacturing Process Evaluation and Improvement
Manufacturing Process Evaluation and Improvement is a comprehensive approach to organizational change and typically yields the greatest return on investment. Northeast Design Drafting approaches process change in three phases: Evaluation, Discovery & Improvement, and Implementation.
During the evaluation phase, key individuals in your organization receive onsite training leading them to become the “Change Agents”. By devising a strategy to address the most pressing issues and targeting potential quick wins, the evaluation process begins to develop the strongest possible adaptation throughout the organization. Northeast Design Drafting facilitates discussions that reveal the strengths and weaknesses within the process being evaluated. We also develop key performance indicators (KPIs) that will enable the new process to be sustainable.
During the discovery phase the current state of the selected processes or value streams are established. Having completed the current state, the team goes on to create the future state. This phase encompasses the following:
- Articulate and model the process
- Link Performance Indicators
- Ideal Design Technique
- Gap Analysis
- Negotiate Implementation
- Create the Implementation plan
- Communicate the plan
In the implementation phase we minimize the difficulties associated with instituting change and work to minimize disruptions to your ongoing operations. We will work side-by-side with your Change Agents and managers to implement the proposed changes and adapt redesigned processes according to results.
